San Francisco Javier

The Eastern Ring Parishes Project was an initiative by the Diocese of Austin that collaboratively expanded the worship facilities of three parishes located on the eastern periphery of Austin. Specifically, the goal of the project was to provide San Francisco Javier with a 10,000 SF sanctuary; a parking lot accommodating 200 vehicles; and a new 4,800 SF parish hall.

Even though each church had a prototype floor plan footprint, exterior details for San Francisco Javier included a unique color scheme and parapets that resulted in a beautiful design that is cherished by the parish. San Francisco Javier has a distinguishing stone facade on the front elevation that features the church bell from the previous sanctuary building.

CasaBella Architects’ involvement spanned the entirety of the project, with our firm streamlining construction and conducting numerous site visits to evaluate progress and inspection of work quality at all critical stages.
