CITY OF AUSTIN FIRE DEPARTMENT, Women's Locker Room Additions and Upgrades
This project is the renovation of 6 of the oldest fire stations in Austin.
Fire Stations built in the 1930's through 1950's only had facilities for men, as at the time there were no female fire fighters. Additionally, these old buildings required significant structural and MEP upgrades. Scope of work includes: hazardous material removal, replacement of all MEP systems, conversion of dormitory bedrooms into individual sleeping quarters, gender neutral ADA compliant bathrooms, building additions, new windows and doors, all new interior finishes, renovated kitchen facilities, exercise rooms, new windows and doors, all new interior finishes, renovated kitchen facilities, exercise rooms, new GAATN closets, structural repairs as needed, exterior repairs as needed, ADA parking and accessible routes to entires, and site drainage improvements.
This project is anticipated to achieve LEED Silver Rating, and construction is to be completed at the end of 2020.
Saint Alban's Episcopal Church, Renovations and Additions, Waco TX
CasaBella Architects has had the pleasure of designing the new Parish Hall with connecting conditioned corridors to the existing parish house. Extensive interior renovations within existing spaces have created new meeting rooms, classrooms, restrooms, offices, and other support spaces. Exterior site work includes new parking lot arrangement and a porte cochere for vehicular drop off at parish house. Design includes a 1,000 SF kitchen adjacent to the parish hall, fully equipped with commercial kitchen appliances.
Construction to be completed in February 2020.
Zilker Park Concession Stand, Austin TX
This historic concession stand located outside of the Barton Springs Bath House was originally built in 1960 but closed in 2016 due to disrepair and life safety issues. CasaBella Architects has worked with the City of Austin, Parks and Recreation Department, and the Historic Landmark Commission to create a design that gently restores the building to its original look, preserving as much existing building materials as possible. The design updates the structure to current ADA and City Codes.

Catholic Diocese Eastern Ring Parish Project, Austin and Manor TX
In 2019 the Catholic Diocese of Austin hired CasaBella to create a prototype design for 3 new construction churches on the Eastern edge of Travis County. The locations include Santa Barbara (Austin), St. Joseph (Manor), and San Francisco Javier (Austin).
Construction is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2020 and completed Spring 2022.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, New Buildings, Upgrades, and Renovations
Under an on-going contract with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, CasaBella Architects is performing work at three different State Parks: Chaparral Wildlife Management Area, Goliad State Park, and Daughtrey Wildlife Management Area. Projects include new construction bunkhouses, residences, and educational center as well as renovations and improvements to offices and maintenance areas.
