Creating Shared Visions
El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Church
CasaBella Architects developed a master plan and facilities design for construction of a new 11-acre campus in South Austin. The three-building complex totals nearly 32,000 SF and includes: a health services building with medical clinic and pharmacy; an outreach services building, with classrooms, nursery center, food pantry and administrative offices; and a multi-purpose community building, which includes an auditorium for community-wide venue for cultural events. The three buildings on the new campus comprise Phase I.
The campus design evolved in large part as an effort to create a familiar, comfortable setting like a central courtyard, with sidewalks, covered arcades and walkways, plaster-like finishes and red roofs. Our objective was to create an architecturally distinct environment that would enhance the quality of experience for the community El Buen Samaritano serves
