Saint Catherine's Catholic Church

CasaBella Architects created a Master Plan for the expansion of  the existing campus, which called for additional classrooms and administrative spaces, a fireproof vault, work and break spaces.

The project involved numerous programming and design sessions to resolve a variety of complex site issues that would have a significant impact on the final solution. These included: restricted impervious cover, increased parking requirements beyond that normally permitted, compatibility with the surrounding residential neighborhood, and flood plain issues.  From a design standpoint, the new building needed to tie together two existing  structures with distinctly strong lines, representing different design eras.

The project solution resulted in a more cohesive sense of place for the religious campus, including improved circulation patterns among all the structures, as well as enhanced outdoor spaces.
